So noisy we left after 2 nights.

Lovely staff. Beautifully decorated. Spacious. Clean Nice rear garden for the dog to run around.

− Terrible, constant traffic noise. Very hot-even with fans. Plus apartment was above the pub kitchen so hot and smelly. Erratically equipped kitchen-good oven but no toaster, no plug for kitchen sink, only steak knives, only pans were 2 x saucepans, very random crockery. Restaurant quality was dubious and poor value. Pork tenderloin was 5 pieces of overcooked meat with almost no rice or yoghurt dressing. Eton mess was shop-bought meringue with whipped cream and about 6 pieces of fruit for £9!!!.

Some simple maintenance would make the stay comfortable

The location above the Fleece pub was extremely convenient and there was disabled parking outside. The food was lovely and the beds comfortable.

− Unfortunately, the lack of the banister on the very steep stairs from the sitting room to the bedrooms made this both uncomfortable and dangerous for my elderly father (and me), as it wasn't safe for him to go up or down the stairs alone with nothing to support him or hold on to. I raised this with the owner the next day and he said he would take action. The rooms themselves were comfortable, but the old single glaze windows (the one in my father's room didn't even open) meant that the rooms were extremely noisy - even with earplugs - and made getting any sleep extremely challenging as the pub is on a busy traffic artery. This needs fixing urgently as I don't understand how anyone would get any sleep here! The hob didn't work which meant I couldn't use it to make the eggs I'd brought for breakfast. We sat down for dinner at 7.45pm after an extremely long day of travel in a practically empty restaurant and it took over 40 minutes to bring our meal; I don't understand how it took such an incredibly long time to cook some fish and it wasn't fair on the extremely lovely waitress who had to keep fielding my queries about where the food had got to.

Lovely studio apartment, staff were very welcoming and great value for money. Would highly recommend.

− The road was quite noisy as the window didn't shut properly and the light switch was faulty. But would definitely stay again.

It was a lot space for a family was ideal

− Property could have been a little better cleaned , still had some items in the room left from previous people , there was bottles in one of the room above the bed where there’s like an alcove bit , just little things that could be taken with a little more care glass table had handprints all over it still and things like that , other glass table wasn’t secure so not ideal with kids around.
