9.0Lovely old hotel. No lift to second floor. Single room small but comfortable and clean.

− Hot water took about 15mins to come through. In a drought that is poor. Toilet very noisy as is a mascerator. Bed very soft. Very basic single room for £105 is expensive.

Great Location for the Town
9.0Comfortable and well equipped room. Very good breakfast with a varied selection of fruit, yogurt, cereals and cooked breakfast. It’s just a five minute walk along the canal footpath into the town.
Good to know
Please be aware that weddings and functions may be hosted at Herriots Hotel. These usually take place at weekends, which may result in the hotel being a little noisier and busier than normal.
Please note that Herriots House rooms are located in the manor house next door to the hotel.
Please note that the elevator will be unavailable from 24/06/2025 to 01/09/2025. During this period, guests must use the stairs.
