10.0I loved the Barbecue dinner they organised! I loved the space the quiet, the private pool was amazing too! Food is Sri Lankan and international Fusion! Tried the Grilled River Prawns for the fist time and they were amazing! Popsicles on arrival and coconut icecream after dinner is to die for! Game drive was nice, wasn’t lucky to see any leopards but saw a lot of wildlife, including crocodiles and some unique birds! Very nice for bunch of friends and families. Only two 2 bedroom villas so the service is very personalised. 10/10

Perfect in every way!
10.0Mayur Lodge is exceptional. From the staff to the furnishings to the food and location we could not fault anything. We were thoroughly spoiled and the safaris were just the icing on the cake. The guide and driver were so knowledgeable and did everything within their power to ensure we had the type of safaris we wanted / away from the crowds. In our downtime it was just a delight to be in such peaceful surroundings listening to the bird songs.

It was the most terrible stay we've ever had in our lives.
1.0The interior design is beautiful and it was clean and there were large rooms.
− We booked this insanely expensive 'all-inclusive' villa for more than 1000USD per night. Upon arrival, they demanded more money from us, for my son another 320 USD, but I paid for the unit, not per person. We said we will not pay this fee. One hour later the police showed up, the manager actually called the local police! Then the head of the police told me to sit down and then he took out his handcuffs and played around with them, looking at me and telling me that there was an open bill and I have to pay it, which I immediately did as I didn't want to land in prison. This is coercion at its finest and I've never experience something like this in my life before. This situation was in front of my wife and my 2 little children under 7 years old, which I will never forget. Going to a hotel in a foreign country is also a trust towards that institution providing the service advertised and not being called the police for a dispute, that clearly violates their own policy and booking.com's trust and safety policy. They never revealed if we get 1 game drive per day or per stay. Then they told me even though it was all-inclusive (they advertise it and also have clearly stated in there policies and Q&A on booking.com that all beverages were included. They grossly misrepresented it, by showing me the different lists of billable items - basically (non-sparkling) water was free, the rest was billable. They also didn't serve the pre-dinner drinks. And they wrote me via Whatsapp that I needed to pay 180$ per person more for a mandatory BBQ on the 31st December. Then they corrected it to 85USD per Person (incl. our 2 children). Then we told them that we will not participate, food is included anyway as advertised. The manager was never on-site, which we had to talk to over the phone. The staff only executed what the manager told them to do. We also really disliked it being so open, and staff would just walk around the whole time, so privacy is limited.

10.0Exceptional. Exceeded expectations. The place is divine, far better than the photos and all to ourselves which makes it very special and private the food some of the best. Very authentic and delicious. The hosts wonderful and friendly. The safari amazing (the guide took us more off track and managed to skip queues :) we spotted leopards on both days. Great to have a private safari. Loved every second. Thank you
