10.0This is a wonderful hotel with a recent history of refurbishment under the current owners. The property has been tastefully restored to its original style. We were fortunate to meet Marian who owns the hotel together with her husband and they have every reason to be proud of their achievement. The location is ideal for a short bus ride (4 minutes) to Bern city centre and the bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. The views from the terrace are also wonderful, both of the city and the alps in the background. The Jazz Club in the basement is a famous Bern venue and has hosted many stars over the years including Ella Fitzgerald and Oscar Peterson. The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms, extremely well run, very clean and all the staff were very helpful and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. A very enjoyable stay.
