10.0It was so peaceful! The lake was so beautiful especially in the morning when there was fog on it. Everyone was friendly, it was very clean and comfortable. I also loved the location, it is close to many beautiful places. My husband and I will definitely be back!!!

10.0We would highly recommend Birch Lodge to other travelers looking for a comfortable place to stay with unique UP flavor. The comfort of the rooms, the coziness of the nightly community fire pit, and historic presence of the lodge is welcoming and suits both those looking for the feel of the UP with the hospitality of a professional, yet homey facility.

10.0Charming! I chose it for an overnight to break up our drive to the Porcupine Mountains. After we arrived, I realized that Birch Lodge IS the destination! Our downstairs bedroom, parlor and bathroom were very spacious. The porch reminded me of the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island! Bring food as the eateries in the village are lame. I was hoping for whitefish at McGowan's but it was closed and looks like its for sale.
