If you’re looking for a personalised holiday, Christina at Tenuta Selvaggia is just the place for you. The trip to Vallombrosa Abbey with its beautiful church and the refreshing walk through the woods to the summit of Cucuruzzu will remain an unforgettable memory for us. Not far from Reggello lies the ‘Balze’ nature reserve – these striking hills were formed by erosion after the lake that covered the area two million years ago dried up. Even a day trip to Florence, with its historic buildings amidst the hustle and bustle of the tourists, was no problem from here. Driving along the side roads and main roads also required skill and driving ability. We had the right car – with an automatic gearbox and slightly higher ground clearance, so we didn’t have to worry about the exhaust pipe. This allowed us to get to know Italy more deeply – its people with their warmth, openness and hospitality. We were so well looked after at breakfast and dinner that it was a real culinary treat. A cool dip in the pool offered relief from the heat on hot days. Paul and Annegret would like to say thank you for everything.

Wunderbare Lage , wie beschrieben Anfahrt mit Allrad problemlos. Super freundlich , selbst kurzfristig noch ein wunderbares Abendessen.

Ho soggiornato nell'appartamento, molto grande e dotato di caminetto, che era quello che mi interessava. La zona è silenziosa e piuttosto isolata, perfetta se si è alla ricerca di un soggiorno di sola tranquillità. C'è uno spazio esterno con un tavolo, che purtroppo non ho potuto usare a causa del tempo, e una vasca molto grande, ottima per rilassarsi. Le host sono state gentilissime, accoglienti e disponibili. Ho anche potuto fare una passeggiata improvvisata coi cagnolini della tenuta, che hanno deciso di accompagnarmi per la campagna! Ho letto molte recensioni riguardo alla strada sterrata, quindi aggiungo la mia per chiarezza: quando sono arrivata, la strada aveva diverse buche e dossi (questi ultimi ci devono essere per una questione di controllo della pioggia) ma sono state riempite mentre ero lì, e ora è molto più facile percorrerla. Il tratto da fare non è breve e la prima volta può essere impegnativo se si ha una macchina bassa o non si è mai guidato su uno sterrato, quindi può essere una cosa di cui tenere conto. Io personalmente non ho riscontrato particolari difficoltà.

− Clean, friendly welcoming environment. Old roman walls and bridges near property. Nice dogs, ambience, pool, surrounded by nature. Tranquil and quality food. Staff provided rides nearby.
