A unique and atmospheric place to stay, with a very helpful and enthusiastic host.
8.0Location superb, situated in beautiful countryside and very secluded. A great place to get away from it all. An excellent breakfast with home-made bread, marmalade and jams.
Guest review
10.0Very quiet and calming soroundings. Very accommodating owner Patricia . Verry tasty breakfast including home made bread. Definitely good place to relax of everyday rush. For sure I be there again.
Dirty and showers didn't work. Lovely location and buildings, could have been so good.
2.0− If you are after charm, you may not mind that the showers don't work, that promises to mend them are not attended to, that the guest kitchen is dirty, that the hostess complains about having to get up if you ask for breakfast before 9 or 9.30am, that the main house smells heavily of mould, that I stood on rusty nail lodged in the shag rug. It is a beautiful location indeeed and the hostess makes nice soda bread and jam. We thought previous negative reviews must be from clean freak Americans and that we would not mind. We did mind and will not be returning,
EUR 260 is a robbery
1.0The surrondings/nature were ok, but the property is a mess almost run down. The garden could be nice however it needs a makeover. I liked that we only had booked one night.
− The description on booking.com should have been closer to the truth. There is painted a description of the property, which I guess is more then 20 years old. We were happy that we did not get a room in the main house - dirty, dark and cob webs all over. We wrote 4 days in advance that we would like to have dinner. When we arrived we were told, that we could not have dinner - not communicated to us earlier. The host recommended us to go to Kilkenny to eat - 30 km drive. There was no breakfast. Due to the fact we had to leave early, around 7 am, we were offered a banana! It was too early for the host.
Very comfortable stay at a very peaceful location

Very bohemian, full of art, beautiful garden & a very special host!
9.0The location is wonderful a wild garden in acres of countryside. The breakfast made & served by Patricia was perfect - home made everything & served in very special family dining room.
− As we had researched Cullintra House we had no disappointments.
