Tatsuo San a été un hôte parfait, toujours souriant, toujours disponible, toujours prêt à donner des informations sur les quartiers à visiter, les points d'intérêt, les bonnes adresses de restaurant. Très attentionné aussi. Le ryokan est très simple mais je m'y suis sentie tout à fait à l'aise, une bonne douche, la possibilité de laver ses vêtements, un petit coin où je pouvais déjeuner si je le désirais. Les moyens de transport sont proches également. Merci Tatsuo San

An authentic experience with a human touch

I was a little bit worried about my first solo trip to Japan, but the host was always happy to share his ideas about things to do or places to visit, which made it a great experience even despite the rainy weather. He even went as far as to watch the anime I've been translating to make a sightseeing route based on its scenes! His genuine love of Tokyo was the clear highlight of the trip, and the stay was very pleasant from start to finish.

− The mosquitos were honestly the only thing I didn't like, and obviously it wasn't the host's fault, but it's still something to keep in mind if you're going to visit Japan around the same season.

Der Gastgeber ist so unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit sowie bemüht. Hinzukommt, dass die Unterkunft alles hat was man braucht. Sei es Möglichkeiten um sich essen zu erwärmen, eine saubere und gut funktionierende Dusche, richtig gemütliche Matratzen und sehr gepflegte Bettwäsche. Waschmaschine und Trockner auch. Es ist auch absolut clean in der Unterkunft. Für mich hat es sich ziemlich heimisch angefühlt. Hinzukommt, dass öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sehr nah sind.

Friendly and comfortable - perfect for solo budget travelers exploring northeast Tokyo

I traveled for business in the immediate area of Ryokan Nakadaya, so the location was ideal. I stayed for one month. The owner was very friendly and helpful, seeing me off each time I left and greeting me when I returned. He even pushed my luggage all the way to the train station on my way home. The building had very basic shared facilities outside the room (toilets, laundry, shower, microwave, fridge) which were useful and all very clean. Rooms and bedding were cleaned everyday. Air conditioning worked great. The price was reasonable and the area was quiet in the evenings. I'd recommend for solo budget travel if you want to spend time in that area of Tokyo (Ueno/Asakusa/Sky Tree), but not for families or for access to places on the west side of Tokyo.

− It is an older place, so single rooms especially are quite small and lack storage space/drawers/wardrobe. There are no places to keep food in the rooms (and it is impossible to keep cockroaches out of houses in the summer). The common room is also a little small and not very comfortable. I rarely saw anyone using it. The facilites are all located at one end of a long hallway, so sometimes this means a lot of going back and forth carrying things like food or toiletries. The price was a little more than many of the other accommodations in the area.

La gentillesse du propriétaire et tout le temps qu il a passé pour partager et aider à la découverte de sa ville. Aussi l e droit est vraiment authentique.
