− The room itself is extremely basic, and the photos in the hotel’s advertisement do not match reality. The images make the rooms look far better than what you actually get, which was disappointing. The WiFi is very poor and unreliable. The nightstand is also oddly designed—it’s mounted to the wall and noticeably slanted, which makes it impractical to use. One of the biggest issues was the electricity setup. Upon check-in, I was only given one key card. When I left the room for a few hours and took the card with me, all power shut off—including the refrigerator. I came back to find it completely warm. In most hotels, the refrigerator remains powered even when the key card is removed, and typically two key cards are provided to avoid this exact problem. Here, that was not the case unless you specifically complained. Another inconvenience was the lack of a water kettle in the room. I usually wake up around 5:00 AM and make coffee as part of my routine, but the hotel only serves coffee starting at 7:00 AM. For many people, having coffee first thing in the morning is essential, and not having the option in the room is a significant drawback.

Price was not too much for the value received. Included breakfast was adequate. Facilities were clean. It’s about a twenty-minute walk to the night market on the Ping River, but taking the shortest route means finding the back-alley footpath through a tight little neighborhood where lights are infrequent.

− A/C unit was not efficient, so it never would reach the desired setting of 70 degrees and shut off. It had to be kept on all night at a lower fan setting to reduce the fan noise. There is no lamp or light near the bed other than the bright directly overhead can lights, so forget reading in bed 🛌
