10.0We stayed at Tenuta Valdomini for just one night, on our way to Milan, but it was so wonderful that we wished we could have stayed longer. The location is perfect for a peaceful holiday: a 50-hectare farm with 7-8 hectare vinyards in the middle of the woods. There are several animals at the farm, including a horse, a couple of donkeys, goats and chickens, and some of them roam freely around the property. The white horse named Skil is a kind of symbol of the farm. When we arrived, we found him grazing right in front of our chalet, and it was a beautiful welcome. The breakfast was excellent. There was a good selection of food, with prosciutto, ham and cheese, but also the usual continental breakfast options like croissants, jam and cereals. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Even though we arrived quite late, he was there to greet us and the next morning he showed us around the farm, took us to the wine cellar and explained the wine production process. The place is also pet-friendly. We love Italian agriturismo and have stayed in several places, but Tenuta Valdomini has a special place on that list. We would like to come back and stay longer next time.
