The Royal Oak was a great base for our trip.
9.0Clean comfortable and it was great to be able to leave the car in the car park until late on departure day.

− We stayed in the lodge which was nice and the most comfortable bed I've slept in, we had the breakfast which was 1st class with plenty of selection.
we have stayed there before but this time we were disappointed and will not return.
8.0staff were obliging and helpful. We likes our room..the housekeeping was excellent.
− I sent back the evening meal which was inedible. It was our 40th wedding anniversary celebration and this was such a disappointing event. I felt that the cooked breakfast was scant and unappealing as did my wife and the second day I just took cereal and yoghurt. Fire alarms went off at least 3 times during the night..so sleep was very disrupted.
