7.0The location suited us. The room was clean. Location was quiet.
Adequate for a one night stay.
7.0Ideal location and very friendly staff
− The shower head needed attention, to enable the water to flow through properly. Lack of cold water in the hand basin.
A useful base for what we were up to.
8.0The location was excellent for us. It was a short walk into town where there were many eateries.
− Parking was on the road unless you got there very early or moved your car late at night after the pub had closed. The lack of toiletries was unexpected these days.
Nice and basic, friendly staff.
8.0This was a last minute booking as work came up suddenly. The accommodation is basic but fine - very much does what it says it does, nothing fancy. The room was small but so was the invoice, so that's fair! The breakfast was very simple - lots of stuff laid out, if you wanted anything cooked, you had to cook it yourself, but for the price, it was an absolute bargain.
− When I arrived, mid-afternoon, the bar was surrounded by a lot of friends - this is clearly a pub with a regular clientele - and when I tried to sign in, the banter was a bit trying. I was tired and just wanted to sign in! However, when I did get to talk to the staff, she was brilliant - no complaints there - and she apologised for the customers. The shower was a bit erratic but it was fine, and the blinds were broken, so it was difficult to block out light.
