8.0This is a beautiful old house well situated near the sea. Plenty of room to walk and to wander. Rooms are individual with interesting decor and comfortable beds. A special experience.

10.0Excellent for what it is, not a 5 star, but a solid property of quality Review of Tyrella House B&B Pending review Tyrella House is a fine old vintage manor house dripping with history and charm. It is also quiet, attractive and attractively set on a large estate with only small numbers of guests. This, plus the kindly and personalized attentions of David Corbett the owner/host, makes for a one of a kind stay in the Irish countryside. Incidentally, as a chef of no small talent myself, I was quite impressed with his serving up a dinner for 8 with dispatch and elan. The conversation thoroughly enhanced the total experience. Do not expect the perfections in house details that you would expect in a 400 pound per night hotel; rather enjoy the house, host, and location as they all serve to help melt away any of life's or travel's tensions. Proximity to ocean beaches, 1 mile walk, is another big plus.
