The room was comfortable, and the entire establishment was well decorated and cozy. Despite being located right in Old San Juan, it was very quiet. It also felt very safe - there are multiple locked doors and the premises are monitored by security cameras with no outside guests permitted. The location was also excellent - within Old San Juan, but not too far into the interior.

− I would have preferred a safe big enough to hold my laptop, but overall the building felt very safe. It also might have been good to have an obvious way to decline cleaning service; that said, it was nice to come back to a clean, re-made room every night.

Hotel room was clean. Steep stairs to room. QR codes worked fine opening doors.

− Stated on their website that the breakfast closes at 9:30. What they really mean is that the kitchen closes way earlier (probably around 9) and the breakfast room closes at 9:30 and they will forcefully kick you out then. From the response from messaging them about this (See below and pictured). Service Hours: Breakfast service concludes promptly at 9:30 AM. To receive full à la carte service, guests must arrive with sufficient time for preparation and dining. They do not say what time is needed for sufficient time for breakfast food to be prepared nor is that part on their website. DO NOT show up after 9 with the hopes of food. We had the unfortunate experience of showing up at 9:15 with the hopes of breakfast, only to be turned away because the kitchen was closed, but to top it off the staff member (Freddy Andrade) was very condescending and rude about their policy. We were talking to a waitress who was attempting to get us drinks as that's all she could do with the kitchen closed, when he ushered us out of the restaurant and then berated us about disrespecting staff because we were late. He then offered to help us read the website as if we were children. They will also inevitably respond to this review telling how we were wrong in our experience, but do read into how they word their response as it will be a little condescending or holier than thou (see the 3 other responses to the bad reviews as of my review). For transparency, I did send them a message that I had a bad experience and was a little aggressive in my tone by calling their actions stupid. The message is attached in a picture for all to read. Beyond the breakfast debacle, they also use AI cameras to track hotel guests so if you have any concerns with AI tracking best be wary. TLDR: Hostile staff makes hotel not a great place to stay. Would not recommend.
