8.0This hotel is well-located both for transportation and dining near Kyoto Station. The common areas are elegant and artistic and the rooms comfortable and quiet. It had one of the best shower areas I’ve ever experienced. The AC temperature was a bit challenging to control and the lighting is, as in most of Japan, complicated. There were dirt marks on the walls. The staff, though welcoming and polite, could be a little better informed (front desk receptionist gave us inaccurate information regarding our package and room maids seem confused about dirty v clean glasses and wash clothes ). Still, I’d stay here again.

10.0One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had so far. Had a 90 minute flight to massage that was amazing as well. I’ll always stay here when in town. I cannot recommend a hotel enough. From the welcoming staff to one of the best beds I’ve slept in in a long time. Elevate your experience by staying at Thousand Kyoto.
